Windows NT 4.0 Display Adapter Settings

I have been trying to adjust the display adapter settings from 16-bit to 256-bit and it won't let me. I have tried installing additional drivers from the Windows NT 4.0 CD and it still remains at 16-bit. The color is terrible. I am using a brand new ProView 17 inch color graphics monitor.

You also need service pack 3 or better for your video drivers to take

Be sure to install the SP3 first, then your driver. If the manufacturer doesn't have one on their web site, the call them for a compatible one.
