Does anyone know if the HP Surestore DAT8 Tape Drive will work with Hardware Compression in NT 4.0? This tape drive works great, but I can't enable Hardware Compression in the NT Backup utility because this option is greyed out so I can't select it. Does anyone know why I can't enable this option? I have two NT4.0 servers and I CAN enable it on one server, but not the other. I have SP3 installed and it didn't seem to help. I have a 4gb HD and am using a 120m tape that is supposed to back up 4GB, but doesn't for some reason and if I want to installed an additional hard drive one day, I'll need to somehow enable the hardware compression. Can anyone help me????
