    Did I just hose myself? (power supply questions)

    I bought a 7800gt for my system and thought I needed a newer power supply with a pci-e connector and 400+ watts. This one is the stock PS that came with the tower. A 350 watt powerman.

    So i bought a 480watt PS. had no PCI-e connector. bought a PCI-e connector adaptor. Only has four molex connectors. Not enough for two HD's the additional motherboard power molex and the DVD player.crap.

    After taking out the Powerman Power supply I looked at the adiitional 6 prong attachment to it and wondering if thats a pci-e connector.

    Yes, those are indeed PCI-e connectors.
