I don't see any signs of malware, though I'm not a guru when it comes to HJT logs, so it would be good to get some other opinions.

In the meantime, it could be that something is hogging the CPU cycles. Right-click the Taskbar and choose Task Manager, then in the Processes tab make sure that CPU & CPU Time columns are selected (View>Select Columns). Click twice on the CPU column header and that will put the process that is using the most CPU cycles at the top. Make sure that "Show processes from all users" is checked. Ignore System Idle Process, a high value for that is a good thing.
    Nick.

The msmpeng.exe process is used by the Microsoft Windows Defender to perform spyware scanning procedures. When Windows Live OneCare is installed in your computer, the msmpeng.exe file is also automatically saved in your computer.

    IMO, that isn't real malware:

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/po...erRegScheduler

I don't think that is the cause of the problem. We could do with some more details of exactly how the PC is slow. Is it taking a long time to boot?

    Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

    Free version is plenty good.

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
