Opening .flv
There is an .flv file on the net which has pictures of a young relative singing. (At least that is what I am told by her mother.)
http://www.s4c.co.uk/urdd/videos/vid...ons/402075.flv
I cannot open it. It allows no Open With option on the site it appears.
http://www.s4c.co.uk/urdd/e_competit...afternoon.html (#2 on item 359)
I have tried just double clicking on the video icon. And using the URL above in FLV Player, VideoLAN, Media Classic Player, Windows Media Player (after installing PlayFLV). I have the latest Flash Player installed. All without success.
Perhaps the site is dead? The FAQ's under Contact Us suggest that the site's videos may not be available outside the UK.
If you can open it, what player did you use?

I managed to download the file, not easy, .. most of my downloaders (DownloadHelper, Orbit Downloader) could not find it, eventually used Coojah 6 / Blader

Uploaded file for you to http://www.mediafire.com/?j161hg7inap7s9y

As the clip is small and frame rate is only 15fps, quality is not that good though.

There is no such thing as overkill. 'Open fire' and 'is it dead?' are the only sane options when threatened.

Thanks GW, that's nice of you...I guess since you're in Ireland you had access whereas none of us has.

General Winters--Most kind of you. I opened the file you sent with Media Classic Player.
I noticed that the URL's in your screenshot are different from the URL I get by clicking on the file. When I used the URL to the right on your screenshot, I eventually navigated to this page
http://www.s4c.co.uk/clic/e_faqs.shtml
which indeed states that most of these programs are available only in the UK.
My good luck to have a friend in Northern Ireland!! (Sorry the program was all in Welsh.)
