Wipe and partition
I would like to wipe and partition a couple of hard drives that on a test pc that I have. Can someone suggest some freeware to do those two tasks. I intend to dual boot a couple of different os's

UBCD5 has Gparted, Killdisk, DBAN, etc. Link is in my signature.

Or for NTFS/FAT32 partitions, if you aren't bothered bout securely erasing data, there is the venerable, but still effective, Delpart:

techforay--If by "wipe" you mean a true scrubbing of all data so no recovery is possible, then the suggestions by Midknyte are among the best.
If you just want to have space occupied by old data freed up so the old data cannot be seen and new data can be written, then a format will do.
That and partitioning can be done within some versions of Windows (Computer Management|Disk Management)
