Outlook 2007 .pst file to Windows Live Mail
I have saved my .pst file (Inbox) to a flash drive and have copied that file to my desktop on my Netbook. I would like to import this file to Windows Live Mail which I use on my Netbook. I understand that WLM does not support .pst files. I cannot seem to find an easy way to do this while searching on Google.
I appreciate your help.

One possible method, which requires Outlook Express 6:
1) Open outlook express 6 to import messages from outlook 2007
2) Then export your outlook express 6 to a .dbx file
2) Open WLM and import the resulting .dbx file
You might also check out the import/export capabilities of Thunderbird.

If you can get access to a system running XP, you can convert the file using the Outlook Express transfer method. Otherwise, you can try the same type of conversion using the latest download of Thunderbird. Microsoft does not support what they consider a "downgrade" from Outlook 2007 to Windows Live Mail.

I have Windows XP on my desktop computer where my Outlook 2007 resides. I want to copy my inbox over to my Netbook where I have Windows Live Mail. So how do I get my inbox into Outlook Express and save the file which I would save on a flash drive and then copy to my desktop on my Netbook so I can get it into Windows Live Mail.
Thanks for your help.

Step 1: Make a backup copy of your .pst file
Then, start Outlook Express and select File, Import. Select Messages and then select the Outlook option and proceed from there. See if that gets yor e-mail messages into Outlook Express. You may have to re-run the Import process to get your Contacts as well.
