[RESOLVED] digital video input no access

I just bought an LG W2253 model monitor, i have attached the DVI cable andthe monitor will only display a desktop image. (a pic i took in the mountains). i cant get it to respond in any way. analog side works fine. the only change i cant find was i used the install disk this morning and *BAM* no mor digital. it worked fine prior to the disk but i cant seem to see what has changed ??? can anyone please help??

It sounds to me, from your description of the problem, that the monitor is actually working since it will display the desktop but once it does it freezes up completely.

I'd be inclined to think it's a graphics card issue that's causing the problem and the freeze not the monitor.

Try either a system restore to a point before you used the install CD or unistall the new CD software and then, if still necessary, go directly into device manager and reinstall the driver for the graphics card (or rollback the driver if it's been updated).
