Search out site for Data Recovery and you'll find hundreds of threads on the subject.

How long ago do you make the cd's? If its been more then a few days/weeks AND you've used your pc a lot - you'll be on an uphill battle. Even temp internet file written to the hard drive can wipe out what was there.

First of all don't write anything else to your hard drive, as you may overwrite your data.

You can try these freeware file recovery programs, they have been successful in recovering data for many of our members in the past:

PC Inspector

Restoration

TestDisk

Recuva

I like Recuva best too.
