Sync iPod Touch to second computer
I have my iPod touch, Outlook and my one computer synced perfectly.
Now I want to sync my ipod to my second computer so Outlook and iTunes are exactly the same.
When I hook up the ipod to the second computer (under the Summary tab "Manually manage...box checked) I have a "Sync" option. But when I click on "Info" tab and check sync Contacts, etc I get an "Apply" button instead of "Sync".
Want to make sure I don't make any changes to the iPod.
What should I do to sync to the second computer?

PC#1 Export the contacts directly from Outlook - Go to PC#2 and Import them..
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

The link worked for me. I did not read completely through the procedure since it was rather lengthy. My advice would be to make sure you have backups of everything before trying it.
However, Steve's idea is probably the way to go. iPods are really only meant to sync with 1 computer. So, if you make sure that contacts on the computer you are syncing the iPod with contain all of the contacts from all of the computers you want to sync, then your should be OK on the iPod sync. If you don't want to keep all of the contacts for the multiple computers on the iPod sync computer, you can always set up a different (temporary, if desired) Outlook profile to combine the contacts.

I have setup shortcuts to the Outlook files (dat, pab & pst) on both computers.
So if I'm home I can copy files (contacts, note...) from the Outlook I've been working on and paste them into the other computer.
At least I have both computers synced at home with Outlook.
Then I can sync my Touch to the computer that works with iTunes.
And I can download tunes from iTunes and then sync to the one computer that is setup with iTunes.
I've used a PalmPilot forever and although I wasn't syncing on-line it was easy enough to sync to both computers.
May try that work around on a backup computer I have and see what happens.
I haven't purchased many tunes and all the rest of my mp3 files are things I have on my computer or could download again.
Thanks for the posts.
