Resolved [RESOLVED] Auto Logon works partially

Two week ago I formatted drive C and reinstalled everything. I've lost some of my tweaks that I hadn't written down.

I'm the only user of the comp, with full admin rights. Let's call my account RB. I've never had a password, and always used Tweak UI for automatic logon. I would fire up the comp and leave the room, and it would boot directly to my desktop.

I've already used TweakUI, and also made sure I had auto login in the registry, but I'm still getting the screen with my RB icon that I have to click on to log in. AutoAdminLogon keeps resetting itself to 0 in the Registry. However, I'm not being asked for a password.

While we're on this topic, how do I get rid of the Win splash screen?

Do you mean the bootscreen I.E the black screen with the Windows logo?

You can edit the boot.ini and add /noguiboot or you can run msconfig and check the /noguiboot box on the boot.ini tab.

Yes, and thanks. I had solved these things long ago, so I'll write that one down too for the next format.
