Multiple svchost.exe

Hello, I'm currently using Windows 7 Ultimiate 64 bit edition which I've just down a upgrade from Vista. I'm wondering why I have around 10 instances of svchost running. They don't take up any CPU usage but they take up ram. Thanks for your help. Also I would like to know which of these things I can use the "Fix" button for. Once again, thanks a lot.

Multiple instances of svchost.exe are perfectly normal.
Your log looks clean, except for one thing....

Unless you installed Viewpoint Manager knowledgeably...
Go Start>Control Panel>Add\Remove (Programs and Features in Vista), and...
Uninstall any of the following programs associated with Viewpoint:
* Viewpoint Manager
* Viewpoint Media Player
* Viewpoint Toolbar
This program does not do anything bad such as deliver ads or spy on you, but it is considered foistware ("drive-by-install") as it is installed without your consent through programs like AOl, AIM, Compuserve, etc.

Thanks for the reply.
However I have another little question. The highest svchost.exe process running for me is at 53k and sometimes it will maybe even jump to 80k +. I'm wondering if there is some kind of problem that would cause it to eat up so much ram.

Now to see what all has gotten svchost started, copy this:

tasklist /svc /FI "IMAGENAME eq svchost.exe" >C:\svc.txt

and paste it into a command prompt

Start, run [type in] cmd and hit enter. Now the command prompt will open.

Right click the blinking square dot and paste it is. Hit enter. when the prompt returns you may close and go into the root of C: and find svc.txt. Double click it and it will open in notepad,

Note for win 7
start, [type in]CMD. I reached up, r-clicked and selected Run as Administrator
typed in , tasklist /svc /fo and hit enter and got a list of all the task running.
