    Problems with Norton INternet Security

    I have the free trial of Norton on my computer and they offered a renewal for $39.99. When I went to the site to renew, I accidentally chose2 years for $69. Couldn't change the cart to 1 year. Went through technical support to help, and every product was for more than $39.99.

    Is Norton's a scam with their prices?

    Also, is there another product I can buy as good as Norton's? I don't want to spend a lot of money.

    Most people avoid Norton Products like the plague...(there 2010 versions are apparently much better then previous versions)

    I use Avira AV software for Free.
    If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    Avira -- is it the same as Norton? Why not Norton?

    I want something as effective as Norton, don't mind paying for it.

    Their customer service is really good. They were johnnyonthespot with my concerns and difficulties. And really it has been protecting my Vista computer very well....but I find it almost a scam that they want you to renew but don't make it easy for you to get the 1 yr renewal. Instead they want you to pay for the 2 yr renew.....and the price wasn't the same.

    I will try the Avira AV -- does it protect like internet security?
