IE7 stopped working
Recently i couldn't connect to the internet so I got someone from a local PC repair shop to come in and he fixed the problem and to test all was Ok he used IE7 to access the internet. He also downloaded some codecs for Winsdows media player which wouldn't play DVD's. That worked OK too.
Later that day I booted up the PC again and got the "system has recovered from a serious error" warning with these codes :-
BCCode : ea BCP1 : 84C68B48 BCP2 : 87212580 BCP3 : 886ED278
BCP4 : 00000001 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 3_0 Product : 256_1

C:\DOCUME~1\DAVEFA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5652.dir00\sysdata.xml
I was able to continue but could not open IE7 properly. I got a dialogue box that said IE7 had been closed unexpectedly and did I want to start from the last session or a new session. Whichever option I chose IE7 closed and wouldn't open again.
Now I don't get the "unexpectedly closed" option. When I click on the icon I get nothing.
I've unchecked "enable third party browser extensions" and used the "re-set internet explorer settings" option.
Still cannot open IE7
Ps - yes I've tried to chase the "expert" who came out to my system but they aren't calling me back.
