Hi there,

I have been given a couple of DVD R+ DL disks with a single mkv file on each. My desktop will play them with VLC, but my DVD player will not, probably because it does not like the DL / colour of the disk (which is dark mauve.)

I would like to put this films onto a regular DVD R+ (4.7gb) but don't know the best way to do so.

From my reading, converting from an 8.5gb mkv to avi will give at least an 8.5gb avi file, which is too large to burn to DVD.

What is my best way forward?
