    Windows 7 VPN Connections

I created a VPN connection in Windows 7 and need to modify the TCP settings. Each time I go to the VPN Properties and select the Networking Tab, I receive the following error:

Unable to allow the editing of networking components at this time because they are currently being modified elsewhere.

    Any ideas?

    Apparently, not yet.

You could try checking the Services and stopping any that are for the VPN.

JDC2000, I could not find a service for VPN connections. Can you be more specific?

Steve, yes I tried that. I deleted the two VPN connections I had and rebooted. Created a new connection and immediately tried to modify the properties. Same error.

My goal is to uncheck the option for 'Use default gateway on remote network'.

See if there is anything listed under RRAS - Routing and Remote Access Services. Not sure what Windows 7 would be calling services for a VPN connection. Of course, it may not be working properly either.

I blew away my mini laptop and installed Win7 with the same DVD and I can edit the VPN properties. Apparently this issue is limited to my Inspiron 1525. Still looking......
