Vista Media Center
I seem to have a mysterious problem. My Media Center coming up with an error, saying that it can not find a TV card.
Tried:
Latest driver.
New TV card. (in another slot)
Windows7 (had sound but no picture)
They all show the same problem, can not locate a TV card or can not load Media Center.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Post the make and model of the computer. Or make and model of the mobo and TV card if home/custom built.
If the tv is a add on for a factory computer, post the make and model for it.

It is a Dell XPS 410, the TV card is an ATI 550, all built by Dell. I also tried another video card, ATI X1300, no change at all. The Dell supplied video card is Nvidia 7900GS. The PC is one month passed warranty, Dell will not even talk to you without a charge.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Dell does have the 2 drivers for ATI under video.

One for the ATI TVT2 Wonder Elite - Internal Single Analog NTSC TV Tuner
The other is ATI TVT2-DT TV Wonder Elite
Did you uninstall the old drivers?

I hope you uninstlled the old drivers before removing the card.
Then installed the new drivers after booting up with the new card.

Use it to clean up the garbage left behind in the previous installs.
Then start from scratch again.
