Firefox - index.dat files
With IE there are the accumulating hidden index.dat files that keep a record of all URL's etc., visited and are not deleted.
Does the Firefox browser have files similar to index.dat that also keep an accumulating record? If so, is there a way to delete them?
Thanks, S

No it doesn't have anything comparable to those hidden, encrypted, bloated index.dat files. When you clear history, cache, cookies etc in firefox it's all cleared.

I don't seem to have much of anything in my index.dat files. Apparently the IE shell I use either doesn't populate them, or cleans them when you dump cookies and offline content.
There is nothing to fear, but life itself.
