Back in 2001 I tried very hard to resist spending my hard earned on XP http://discussions.virtualdr.com/sho...8&page=1&pp=15 obviously I failed miserably what do you reckon on my chances of resisting Vista.

I'm sure I'm not the only in that thread that failed either.

Philgo--I plan to resist for at least a year to see how things shake out. Perhaps until after the first SP. Can your existing PC and older software and peripherals handle Vista?

I ran the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor: my PC can handle the Vista home premium, except I will have to uninstall my Nero 6.
