new amd processer?
Howwwdy ,
Im thinking about getting a new processer 3400 or 3600 I game alot and from what I feel and read , seems the game I play (battle field 2) uses the cpu heavily as well as the gpu..as you can see I have a 754 pin think the pros out way the cons...Its a hard sell to wifey for a new gamming rig she just as soon throw this one out the window ..any ideas would be great ( on the cpu not wifey) p.s. I know but, my gpu was top of the middle class not that long ago. Pie.

The 3700 would be my choice, as it's better than the 3400, and there is no 3600, do you just want a CPU? Socket 754 Athlon 64 3700+ 2.4Ghz 1mb cache =

If you're going to be in the doghouse vis-a-vis the wife over this, spend the extra money and buy a socket 939 mobo with an Athlon X2 4400....then take the computer out to the doghouse with you! You'll have plenty of time for BF2.....
If you're keeping the socket 754, then go with the 3700. Best bang for the buck without going dual.
