Well some of our users are having issues opening up outlook and then choosing attachment and accesing a shared folder which they have rights to being in the same group as the other users. we have checked security made sure everyone was in same ou and even tried from different desktops. any ideas all helpwill be appreciated.

    2. domain with ou's
    3. yes the folder can be accessed from anywhere else just not from outlook
    4. just the message that you can not access this folder pleae contact your admin and its only happening to some of our users in the same ou with the same user rights and others can access it normaly

    corchi, Welcome to Virtual Dr!

We need a little more details.

    1. What operating systems are you using (ex; XP Home, XP Pro, Windows 2000)?
    2. Is this a workgroup or a domain environment?
    3. Can you access the shared folder via My Network Places (or Network Neighborhood)?
    4. Are there any errors that you receive? If so, what is the full text of the error message?

Unsure with the detail given, but it MAY be related to mapped network drives. If the majority of users have the Z: drive mapped for instance, and some other users have the same network mapping, only it's mapped to say Y:, then you will have this sort of issue.

I guess we need further info on the issue to identify the cause.
