Sometimes it just breaks and removing and d/l the latest version fixes it.
No guarantee but worth a try.

ok i did that. and no help. i even reformatted (for other reasons) earlier today, and still there is freezing. im beginning to think maybe it has somethign to do with my video card. if so, how do i tell what video card i have installed? and could it possibly be missing drivers or something? thank you

Are you trying to play the games through IE?, if so try a more reliable browser such as firefox, you could check device manager firstly for hardware errors, and also to check out what hardware you currently have try this little tool: Everest
and if you want info about drivers for any of the hardware it lists then post the log back here and someone will help you out

i updated drivers and it still froze. i am using IE but i was considering switching to firefox anyway, so i might do that. could it have been an overheating issue? i didnt think so at first since they were both such small games but maybe so? i dont know. anyway, thanks for the suggestions thus far.
