NERO software Updating

I updated NERO software back in November.... and of course it included all kind of add-ons. I went with the OK add them Idea.
Thinking that what I don't like I can delete.

Well the Nero PhoyoSnapViewer has taken over all my JPG,TIFF, etc to view by. Whereas I wanted to stay with Photoshop.
I was able to change the viweing to photoshop but the directory listings still show as PhotoSnapViewer.

Is there a work around?

All I really wanted from NERO is the copying DVD,CD and the back up features. The rest was a view and see basis...

I beleive that my DVD problem could be related to this updating, bnoth in November and in January?

Is this possible?

How did you change the viewing to photoshop? If you only changed with right click, open with......always use this option then that won't associate jpg, tif files with the photoshop icon. You need to go to folder options, File Types tab, and change from there.

Went folder option route.... but the file type remained Nero (PhotoSnapViewerNero). They did not change.
When I click on a photo that shows Nero (Nero PhotoSnapViewer) it is opened by photoshop.

PS To test my DVD I had to remove all reference to Nero... But the files type remained Nero PhotoSnapViewer.

I checked in my computer and some of my photo icons aren't associated with photoshop either but if I click on them, they do open in photoshop. I'm not entirely sure why the icons aren't associated with the photoshop icon. Maybe someone else has an idea??? I'd like mine solved also.

Is there a Nero Forum Site? I have tried but not satisfied!

My suggestion would be to totally uninstall Nero and use their utility that cleans leftovers. Re-install Nero and when offered check boxes to associate Nero with file types, do 'not' check any boxes.
Don't know of a specific forum for Nero, but they do have a good support/reporting feature here: http://www.nero.com/en/support.php

CDFreaks gave me some good info thanks.....
also noted that other people are in the same boat where NERO takes over as the main source for applications. Of course for me its now hinsite as I did check off and got stung.

Now how to work around and have the choices I had before is something else?

Friend wanted to have a jpg file from .pub (MS Publisher)
Did the save to clipboard... and saved as a JPG.

Now I am curious as I will be sending him the file.
I know he has Photoshop AND NERO .
What I don't know is how he loaded his Nero.
Will Nero Open?
Will Photoshp Open?

If Any one knows the work around to get file association changes from Nero to Photoshop In Explorer
