Windows Updates

Why can't Microsoft issue an update that doesn't screw up your computer somehow? Back in June I installed update KB835732 only to find I had no sound. I uninstalled the update and the sound came back. Now it's happened again with another update that I installed the day before yesterday. I installed 4 updates, so I'll start with the last and work back untill I find the one that knocked out my sound. If that don't work I'll roll back to a Image before the updates. I have Drive Image installed. My most recent image is about 3 weeks old.

Rant over.

Windows 2000 pro.

I finally rolled back to the image I made 3 weels ago and all is well. I made a list of all installed "Hot fixes". The next time I update I'm going to install them one at a time and wait to see if I have problems or not.

Lesson Learned
