    File & Print Sharing

    Hi,

I am wondering if someone can help me. I have by mistake un-install the "File and Print Sharing" under the network properties. How can I re-install it? Because it's not showing at all.

    Thanks

    Hi Axim

    Welcome to VirtualDr

The process is slightly different for different versions of the MS operating system, but I'll try to give a version that you should be able to fathom out.

Get to Network properties. Click Add, select services, select File and print services for MS networks. Click OK a couple of times and all should be OK.

Now if you can't work this out let us know what operating system you have and someone will give exact details. Good luck. BF

    Hi BF & Newt,

I should have indicated earlier on. I am running Win XP Pro.

BF, sorry being thick head, but where I will find "Network Properties"? I know where Network Connections are.

    Greetings Axim5,

Open the Network Connections and you should have a Local Area Connection icon or Wireless Network Connection depending on the connection you have. Right-click on it and choose Properties to open the Local Area Connection Properties. For more details, see the following link.
