transfering email files
I've got two harddrives. I've been using the larger of the two for my primary master. Although I can boot that drive, I've decided instead to move the files from it, format it and use it as my primary slave. I have some problems on the drive and either I reinstall windows or, just transfer files, wipe it and use it as an extension. I want to use the smaller of the 2 drives purely for the OS.
I've set up the smaller of the drives with my os, and have tuned it to my satisfaction. Now I want to access my email from the old drive.
The old drive has Outlook express 5 on it. The new setup has Outlook express 6. When I ask OE6 to import mail, the only options it gives me is to import from OE4 or OE6. It doesn't give me an option for OE5.
If I go to the drive with OE 5 on it, and attempt to open OE5, guess who pops up? OE6.
I tried a find files search on the drive containing the email files I want using .eml extensions and .dbx extensions. The search is fruitless.
Is there a way to access the email files I want along with my address book entries and transfer them to the other drive am i stuck having to boot from that drive?
thanks in advance
