Need Help! Attention Signal Frequency Is Out of Range
Hello everyone. My first post here. All of a sudden today, i got a black screen with red lettering saying "Attention Signal Frequency Is Out of Range FH > 28.0Khz FV>H7 Please Change Signal Timing". What exactly do I need to do? I never got this message before. I am running WindowsXP Home.

Hi PapaPrem, welcome to VirtualDr
You have set your monitor refresh rate too high. Boot into Safe Mode by pressing the F8 key during bootup and that will load with the standard VGA drivers. Right-click the desktop and choose Properties>Settings>Advanced>Monitor and set the refresh rate to a lower value.

Any idea as to what rate I should set it to? I never changed the refresh rate ever and I had this computer for 2 years. I guess somehow the settings were goofed up or something. Thanks for your quick response!

Set it to 60Hz - all monitors will work at that rate. Once you're up & running make sure you've got the "Only show refresh rates that this monitor can support" checknox checked, and you can then safely choose the maximum in the drop down box.
Nick.
