Talking Extracting audio from QuickTime .mov

My daughter loves her Barbie Rapunzel game so much, that she really loves to sing to the intro song. I want to give her a CD with this song. I can't locate any mp3's or anything of this song, so I'm going to the next step, by extracting the audio from this QuickTime .mov ... and then coverting it over to .mp3 ... Only thing is, I don't know of any software that will extract the audio from the movie. Can anyone help?

Hi.. the only reasonably priced software that I've found that is capable of extracting audio from QT movies is Quicktime pro, from Apple...

Here's a pdf file that has instructions on how to do it so you can look it over.

I haven't found any freebees that do it but I'll keep my eyes open.

One workaround that would be a tiny bit labor intensive would be to plug the speaker line out from your computer (at very low volume level) into a cassette deck or stand-alone CD burner.

If you decide to go the line-in/line-out route, you can use this:

The program that DuaneB posted also says it can record the audio from QT movies.. maybe worth having a look at that possibility too. It would be around the same price as QTpro (maybe cheaper) & more usefull in the long run. There is also an evaluation version you could try to see how well it works.

"Record sound being played by other computer programs (e.g. RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Quick Time, WinAmp) including live Internet broadcasts"
