Weird weird m3u, mp3 problems
I noticed after several unsuccesfull attempts to burn a cd that all my mp3 files say under type m3u. When you click on properties the filename is.mp3, and the ms-dos name also end in mp3. So i am positive that all the files should be .mp3 but the're not. Ithink thats what makes itso the cd that i burned wont play at all. Any ideas while the file extension keeps getting changed. and why its says m3u and why it doesnt burn so it plays??
thx a ton any help is greatly greatly appreciated
thx,

Hi... m3u's are playlist data files. Are you buring the CD's as data or music CD's? Try burning it as a music CD and see if that helps.

What happens when you drag one of them back onto the desktop? Can you play it from there & does it remain m3u or revert back to mp3?
What progs do you use to record and playback the mp3's?
