Strange Files ?

XP Home

In C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Temp, I have about 50-60 Files j$xxx$ca where xxx are numbers - Properties gives $CAFile Type Unknown

The Folder 'Local Settings' is a Hidden Folder

Does anyone know what these Files are?

I was recently afflicted with a Virus JS_Traffichbar.A which infected a File j$app128$ca in the same Location above - this File I deleted as it was uncleanable

The Virus seems to have affected my PC-Cillin Firewall which is being disabled at Startup by 'something'

I am wondering if the above 'unkown' files are anything to do with this?

Thanks

I would delete the entire contents of the directory. If that makes you nervous, rename all the files with a .bak extention first and delete them tomorrow if you don't have problems.
As to your firewall, drag the program as a shortcut from start>programs>-your firewall- to start>programs>startup. That's the simplest way to autorun a program
