Action Center Notifications not working for emails.

I have a problem that's really no big deal, but it's not right. I don't get email notifications from Action Center. I may get a notification from my app Print Screen when my pc first boots up. Or something from Windows or Cortana, but nothing for emails. Notifications used to work fine. I don't know what happened for it to stop notifying me of emails.

I have tried running System File Checker and the tool DISM.exe commands. That is DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and then I ran DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth. All came back a okay. Under Settings, Notifications & Actions I have them all ticked to the "on" position to get notifications and play a sound.

I have searched the internet and have very little to go on. So I am hoping someone here can come up with something I may have over looked. Here again, not a big deal if you don't know of any fix. Thanks.

What program are you using to notify you of incoming e-mails?

jdc2000. I tried to follow your link, but I couldn't get to the app Outlook (desktop). Mine would show just Mail. Did I not set up my Outlook mail right? When I set it up I wasn't given a choice of Outlook. My default mail is with Yahoo sbcglobal.net. Where it says "Keep using this app" Outlook isn't even listed. Mail is with the pic of just an envelope signifying Mail. Maybe I did not set up Windows Mail right to start with. But it was so simple. Thought I had it right. Anyway I guess I'm using Windows Program for mail. I mean the black box outlined in white just to the right of time and date is where the notifications show up. I know you understand that. So I guess were back where we started. I just physically have to go to a web page to check my email. No problem. Thanks for the help.

jdc2000. When I said I was using Windows as my program for email I know that's not right. Windows is the OS. Maybe what I meant to say is Action Center was a Windows Update A long time ago. Not sure about the date or name of Update. But Action Center Notifications is where my email should show up. The box to the right of time and date turns white and puts a number to the lower right signifying that I have mail or a banner pop out from Cortana, Skype, Windows or other has shown itself temporarily. I just don't understand why it doesn't work now. It used to work fine until about a week ago. Don't worry about a fix unless you can come up with something different than what I have already tried. Thanks.

Outlook is part of Office, and would not be a choice if you don't have it installed. It sounds like you are using Windows Mail. There are several potential issues that could be causing the issue. Possibly useful links:

jdc2000, I thought that the download AppDB Registry Import for fixing missing notifications would have worked, but it didn't. The other links I tried previously with no luck. Thanks for getting those, but I'll just live with the way it is now. No biggie. Thanks again.
