Help with a Website
our website: http://wrightinchicago.wixsite.com/lveast
I'm on a committee to design a website for our hsg cooperative. Well, we put up a prototype using Wix.com just for some idea of how it could look.
But,
the committee wants the members to be able to "sign in/login" privately. They want to be able to attach newsletters and have members send work orders to the office.
Wix doesn't have those capabilities. So BESIDES WORDPRESS - WHICH I CANNOT AND WILL NOT USE - what other platforms would you recommend that would have those in-built capabilities?

That would be a better question to post at our sister site. http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/forum.php
You just may want to contract the building that site.

Wix should have the capability to do what you want.
Note: ALL web CMS (Content Management Software) systems (not just WordPress) MUST be maintained and patched as vulnerabilities are discovered, if you want them to stay secure and not be hijacked by hackers.
You can set up forums using Wix if you want, or you can just password protect a page:

These 2 sites will check for and list errors
HTML
https://validator.w3.org/
CSS errors
https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
Errors can cause SLOW page loading to who can guess. . .
