Unable to find "send" button in OE6

Unable to find "send" button in Outlook Express 6.
I tried to e-mail attachments of scanned docs in Paperport program which links to OE6. I also tried to e-mail pictures from
JASC Paint Shop Photo Album which links to OE6.
I received the same response from each program:
It took me to the OE e-mail mask, but there was NO send
button to send the e-mail.
Someone suggested I might be missing win.ini file>

I use W98se, Outlook Express 6
Any Suggestions?
Thanks JR

Try this: In the "compose new email" window, do View -> Toolbars -> Customize. In the right pane are the current buttons (of which SEND should be one of them). Perhaps it accidentally got moved to the left pane of "available buttons" ?

Unable to find "send" button

NickC

I checked the view>toolbars>customize.
I do not have a "send" option.
Under Custom..Toolbars,Standard,Formatting, Menu are checked.
Form Design, Response are not...no other options.
Under Commands (to add), there is no "send" option on left or right.
-FYI- If I use Outlook Express directly without using Paperport / JASC Photo Album, I do have the "send" option.
Thanks JR

Question No Send Button

I am also curious to what the answer is to this. My send button won't show (at times) when I'm trying to email an attachment, in this case, a picture. I have looked through my toolbar, and no send button is listed there when I try to customize my toolbar. Open for suggestions too.
Thanks,
Getagrrrip

Is just the SEND button missing or can you actually not send the mail? Did you try File -> Send ?

No Send Button

NickC

Thank you so much for your response to this.

In my case, there is not a send button visible, nor can you find it by File ---> Send. It's not there. Also, when I try to send an attachment (picture in this case) sometimes the send button is there, other times it's not. I'm not doing anything differently, it's very perplexing. I have searched the 'net over and over again for this one, and I just can't find the answer.
I also tried to send it by using alt + s. No luck there, either.
I know how to do a print screen by pasting it into a Word
document...would it help if I attached that so you could see it?

JRL56 I hope you don't mind me jumping in here with my problem, it seems we are both having a similiar (or maybe the same?) problem.

XP Home SP2
OE 6

Open Outlook Express right click the toobar [create mail, reply, reply all, etc] and select customise is the send and recieve in the right pane?
If not move it from the left pane and see if this helps.
You can also do this on the individual email toolbar and move the send across to the right should it be missing.

No Send Button

Thanks again everyone for the responses. I really appreciate the help.

File -> Send doesn't work. Neither does Alt + S. There truly isn't a send button anywhere. I've checked my toolbar, and all the right things are checked.

If I open Outlook and attach a picture that way, I don't have a problem, but I also don't have the option to make the picture smaller, and I do like that option. It's when I click on a picture and choose to email it that way that I have a problem. (I know, so why do it that way, right?!?)

Tufenuf: I've read the links you've posted, but I will read them again as I may have missed something.

10446: There isn't a Send and Receive button at all.

Attached is Print Screen of what it looks like. I can maximize it, hunt through all the toolbars, and there still isn't a send button. Weird!

This "longshot" might be worth looking at:

No Send Button

Thanks again for the responses.

104456: I tried to post an attachment, but since I did a Print Screen and then pasted it into a Word document, it won't show in here, it's not a valid file extension for posting. Oops me... Yes, we are talking about Outlook Express 6, not Outlook, I abbreviated when I shouldn't have. XP Home SP2 OE 6 No the option of selecting any send button doesn't exist, but I see where it SHOULD show thanks to you posting the pic. The only thing I could find was a "resend" button, but it wouldn't work though I tried to add it to my toolbar...

Steve: Your "longshot" SOUNDS like it might be the ticket to solving this. I will check it out and post back. It sure sounds like the same problem I'm having. Again, I can send a picture if I have outlook express open, and attach it then, it's when I choose to send the picture from my pictures folder that I encounter this problem. I'm not sure the "longshot" covers the problem I'm having or not, but I'll check it out and post back.

Is there a way I can Print Screen and save it as a .jpeg so I can post it on here?

Thank you again.
