There is no "Dos command" for opening/closing CDRoms as CD's were not commonly used before the event of "Windows"

The drivers were loaded via autoexec.bat and config.sys for use with programs but the tray was always operated manually.

I am aware of small EXE files that will open and/or close the tray. I have copies of these and if they are copied to the path they will operate just like Dos commands.

This is useful for adding to batch files etc but under normal circumstances it is easier and quicker to just press the eject button.

Actually readrj if you owned a goldstar CD there was two extra commands installed in the cdrom directory. These opened and closed the cdrom.

But those are not DOS commands in the sense that XCOPY and DIR are commands. XCOPY is a DOS external command, and DIR is a DOS internal command. Both were written and provided by Microsoft as official DOS commands. The Goldstar CDROM programs are just programs, not DOS commands.
