    Resolved [RESOLVED] Divide Overflow

Running MS DOS 6.22 in a Deskview enviroment. I've been using a text editing program called PC-Write. The file used for printing is PR.exe. Everything has been running without any issue for years. Just yesterday I attempted to print a text file and received a divide overflow error.

There have been no changes to the system and no new software has been installed for years. I tried to run PR.exe from a different directory with the same result. I have installed a fresh copy of the program, but it still yields the divide overflow error.

Any insight will be appreciated. Thank you...

Have you tried printing a file that previously printed OK, or is it just on this one file?

Yes the issue is that the program now crashes. So I don't have an opportunity to select a file to print out. I'm investigating further with the thought that a component of Deskview, Qemm is causing the program to attampt to access protected memory, or something like that.. Will post further results later tonight.

Problem is resolved. The Qemm environment places the program in expanded or extended memory. So when I started the program from DOS, rather than as a Desqview window, it accssed protected memory and crashed. This is a result of the "config.sys" file that I need to run Desqview. Hope this is clear to anyone interested.
