Printing to Samsung SCX-4216F in DOS 6.22
I have purchased a Samsung SCX-4216F with a parallel connection and I am unable to print my invoices using BASS in DOS 6.22. I have tried "DIR>LPT2:" and the printer displays "Printing" for 2 seconds and stops. Are there generic drivers or some kind of workaround with this printer?

As usual with a Windows GDI printer, specifications such as:
http://www.printerbase.co.uk/more_info.php?partref=2480
indicate there is no true DOS printing capability.
Normally if a GDI device can be used for DOS output, it will be in a Windows DOS box where Windows is still providing the GDI component.

When I last went looking for a DOS printer, the HP LaserJets were about the only ones still available. The Model 1200 will (for sure) print directly from DOS.
