    Outlook 2003

    Can someone please let me know how I can stop Outlook (not Outlook Express) from working in the background when I boot up. I only use it for contacts and calendar, but it appears in my processes as running all the time. I have noticed it synchronises all my emails from Outlook Express and when I close it down it appears on the taskbar (by the clock) and I cannot remove it until I close down.
    Thanks

    Start -> Programs -> Startup -> Outlook -> R-click & Delete.

    If its not there proceed to this next one.

    1. Start -> Run -> msconfig -> hit ok.
    2. Click the Startup tab.
    3. You should see some entry in there relating to Outlook startup.
    4. uncheck it.
    5. Click OK all the way out.
    6. It will ask you to restart winders, do so.

    Right click on it while it's in the task bar and uncheck "Hide When Minimized".
