outlook 2000 folder size problem
Hi, I am trying to clean out some e-mails from some of our users to free up some space on the server. On one user we found that he had over 180 MB of stuff in his Journal. I deleted everything that was in there since he didn't use it anymore, but the size of that folder didn't change. Is there something else I have to do to free up that space or are there other forces at work here?

Need to Compact the folder to get it to resize. RIght click on the Folder and select properties.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

I've looked and I don't see an "compact" option anywhere in the properties of the journal.

Then look in properties of Pernal Folders.

I've found it there, but the journal isn't in the Personal folders, it's in his Exchange mailbox.

Sounds like you need to be working at the exchange server.
