    Right Click, Open With Programs

    How do i add and remove the programs in section when you -> Right Click On a file, Open With...

    I'm looking to change it for .DAT files

    Just double click it. It will give you the option then.

    umm... doesn't really work that way...

    dat are opened in notepad.

    Go to My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>File Types tab, select the .DAT extension, click change and choose the program you want. As Train says, Notepad is the default.

    That is when you use the browse option and be sure the check make is not in the little box.
