Windows 2000 Server
Hi
At the weekend I installed a win 2000 server and attached a nas server running the same operating system, I have a windows xp pro machine which was logging into an NT server before I dropped it out of the doamin and then dropped it into the new win 2000 server, when I log on it takes ages, I have set up static IP and set up user and machine on new domain. It takes about 4 mins to log in and the shares on the nas server seem to take even longer to refresh in explorer. Could any one help.
Thanks

Long delays in logging on usually reflect a DNS problem. Make sure you have your client machine configured to point to the DNS Server of your Active Directory domain and that a Global Catalog is also readily available.
