I wanted to use my mobile phone to connect to my acer notebook travelmate 345T using infra -red connection and connecting to internet.
I been sucessful in using infra-red connection for my Nokia 8250, but the connection speed only at 9.6K, when i call up the ISP, they said phone with GPRS can acheive a few fold of this speed.
Now I have a Nokia 8310 with GPRS, But i can not download the PC suit or the modem setup file.
Please help.

An Octet/Streaming File could really be any file format, since it represents a binary file
If you are on a PC, try adding .exe to the end of the file name and hit Enter. Double click the file to run the application
You might want to find out the following:
The full name of the file (including the file extension, such as .exe)
The exact size in bytes (not KB or MB) of the file the mobile company are sending, so you can compare it to the size in bytes of the file you received. Any difference in size will tell you the file was changed in some way.
The program the file was created in, so you can check if format is supported by your computer
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most
