Laser Jet Cartridge Refills
Someone gave me a HP Laser Jet 6P, (Black printing only), and I bought a cartridge for tahe thing, which was pretty pricey. I figure I am going to need a refill for the cartridge before too long, but went into Office Depot and couldn't find any. Do they make refills for these things?

Thanks, good try. The only thing on that site was for $76.
Anyone else - please - that's kinda expensive.

You wouldn't want to refill the cartridge with toner because a new cartridge also has a new drum in it. Anyway, you will probably get about 4000 pages out of it so why bother with that. Toner isn't too good to breathe and it's a mess to work with. Sam's Club has good prices on toner cartridges.

Thanks, Stu, I'll check on the Sams Club option.

I agree with Stu L. Also useing recycled toner carts. will cause your laserjet to have a shorter life. Since most recyclers only refill the cart with more toner and not replace the drum and other moveing parts which are made to only be used once your print quality will get worse and you never know how many times the cart has been refiled. Also there is a bin in the carts for the excess toner that is removed from the drum and not transfered to the paper, over time it will fill up and overflow into the printer causing problems with the fuser and rollers in the printer. This means that you will need to have these parts replaced before they should need to be.
Ok i'll get down off my soapbox now. But I just had to put in my 50 cents.
