ASUS A7V133 motherboard
Has anyone using this board had problems getting it to run @266fsb? If so, how did you get around it? Everytime I try to run at 266fsb I get a windows can't start error. Something about system32 dll missing or corrupted. I tried running my 1.2 Athlon at 9x 133mhz in the bios, but no-go. I have to run my ps-133 sdram at 100mhz also, so I am not getting top performance. My 1.2 fried due to HSF failure, so am back to my old standby 800. I want to get another 266fsb Athlon but i'm holding off until I fix this problem. Sorry for the long letter.

You set it for 133 and the cpu by its actions makes it a 266 not the mobo settings.
Also, have you looked at the bios update ?
Have both the A7V and the A7V266-E and have worked on that board. Set bus to 133 and the ram to 133 if you have PC133 ram.

Thanks Train;
Between Limerick and myself we determined that the cpu was probably faulty before it was fried by HSF failure. There's no way to be sure now.

Darn, do not need that.
I set for 100/100 the first time through bios, set Vcore to 1.75 for T'birds and Xp's and after determining temps, and installing os, then go back in and reset the bus and ram. Just my way of doing it.
