Total Ram not recognized

I have a Quantex PIII, 450mhz that came with two 65mb ram modules. The motherboard is a Biostar M6TZA that is upgradeable to 256mb. I just installed a 128mb Kingston Value Ram in the one empty slot but the system is only recognizing 192mb instead of the installed 256mb. The configuration on the motherboard shows that you can use 2-64s and 1-128. Am I doing something wrong? I tried taking all three of the modules out and reseating them but it still only recognizes 192mb. Any insight you could give me would be appreciated.

When you mix ram by manufactor, ECC/nonECC, latency you do get funny reactions and you will verify.
Suggest using www.crucial.com to verify what you need. Easy to use. And you will have a answer to why it did not work.
My bet is a ECC problem.

Thanks for the reply. In your scenerio, would it be possible that it will recognize one of the 64s, which would be a different brand from the 128, and not the other 64 which matchs the 64 that is recognized? I assume that there is nothing I can do about this short of removing the 2 64s and replacing them with Kingston Value Ram in the form of 2 more 64s or a 128.

Heck, it could be the 128 .
Try this Boot with the 128 by itself, check it out and see if it is recognized and that all is OK.
Add a 64 and follow the above procedure.
Add the last one and check it out.

Now, that is why I suggest buying ram in pairs.

Myself, if the 128 works fine by itself I would get a match for it.
