    Outlook forms

I am trying to create a form in outlook, so I thought I would check the help out - but this is what it says when i click on about forms:

    About forms

You can use forms to quickly and easily standardize the way information is distributed and collected electronically. For example, you can create a form that anyone within your organization can use to order supplies or post information in a public folder. Microsoft Outlook provides built-in forms such as the New Message form to compose messages and the New Contact form to enter information for a contact. If you have sent an e-mail message or created an appointment, you have used a form. Every Outlook item is based on a form.

A form can be saved as a file (for use as a template or in another program) or in a forms library (to make the form available to others).
For information about creating and using Outlook forms, see the Outlook Forms Help. If you have installed this Help, click the Help menu, click Contents and Index, and then click the Outlook Customization and Forms book.

Oh by the way I am using outlook 98...

Anyway so I go into Contents - but I can't find forms book anywhere. I have checked out the Microsoft site for downloads; I have checked the CD for add-ons on the Cd and the web - I can't see anything relating to forms. Is it just me - or am I not looking in the right place.

    I need help for forms!

Hi Neens. Think this should do the trick for you. Here's a link from Microsoft Knowledge Base for Outlook 98 "Customization and Forms Help Missing".
    SYMPTOMS
When you ask the Office Assistant in Microsoft Outlook 98 for information about creating forms, you are referred to Outlook Customization and Forms in Contents and Index on the Help menu, but that topic does not appear.

    CAUSE
You do not have the Development Tools component installed.
The link above will walk you through adding the Development Tools component. Finding stuff in the Knowledge Base is like working through a maze, eh?

Here's a couple more links for patches, help and downloads for Outlook 98, in case you need them in the future:
    Microsoft Knowledge Base Outlook 98

Lots of Outlook 98 downloads/patches at Slipstick Systems.

    Hope this helps!
