Modem and TV conflict
Modem (HCF 56K), TV (TV Live!, BT878) (http://www.darteurope.com).
Both install to IRQ7 (along with Network and others).
Either works (with the rest of teh system), but when both are installed, modem hangs up the entire system when dialing.
Have already tried:
* swaping PCI places
* changing PNP/Legacy status in BIOS
* using other manufacturer's TV driver (Fly TV98)
Any suggestions are welcome.
Regards, j.

Hello Dere
Try using the hardware wizard to uninstall the TV card and then reinstall it using a different IRQ.
I would leave the modem alone as I have found getting a WinModem to work in 2000 a real bear and if the thing is working I wouldn't futz with it.

Thx for reply.
Th computer is ACPI, so I don't get chance on configuring resources manually.
Do agree about modem; I tried to insert 3COM Sporter WinModem, but got no driver for 2000 :-( Will try to get hold of another, perhaps ISA, modem.
For the momen, I install and watch, remove and boot, then call,... Not funny at all.
