how to get Blue ray to play properly on my PC

I have the Radeon HD 5450 graphics card along with my PC with Windows XP ( see signature).. I have a lot of problems trying to playback Blue Ray discs on my LG Blue combo disc dvd player .. I have un installed/ reinstalled and updated the latest April 2013 drivers but to now avail ... What do I need exactly (besides a new PC..) I should have enough memory and ram...

should point out if I play back a real basic blue ray disc no features or special features or a lot of audio tracks the Blue ray disc plays back fine
( i.e. Demi Moores 1996 Striptease ) but if I play back a disc that has more features and longer running time such as Andrew Lloyds Webber
25th anniversary of Phantom of the Opera it staggers and stalls and slows down or pauses by it self .. I have optimized my system and have done a fresh
    restart ...

Have you pulled the video card and cleaned THE FAN BLADES and made sure the air passages are clean.
Kind of sounds like it might be overheating a bit.
