    None of the old software works on Win. 8

    Somebody told me that if I would buy a windows 8 computer. None of my quicken 2000, incredimail, graphic Dreamweaver 8, Photoshop 7.0 and cute ftp works on windows 8?

    In general, you need to check each application's compatibility with the manufacturer.

    If an app isn't compatible with Windows 7, it's not going to be compatible with Windows 8 either.
    Just one example:
    Intuit does not recommend running versions of Quicken older then Quicken 2010 on Windows 7.
