    Homepage:
On the Chrome browser, to the far right of the address bar click on the symbol with three horizontal bars. From the drop down menu, choose "Settings". Under On startup place a mark in the button "Open a specific page or set of pages. Set pages"Click on the link "Set pages". Go to your home page and set it. Below this is "Appearance", Check "Show Home button". This will set your homepage and enable you to return to it by clicking on the home button.
    Favorites:
Go to the page you want to save as a favorite. Click on the star on the right of the address bar. In Chrome, favorites are called bookmarks. The page will be added as a bookmark. You may organize your favorites into different folders of your choosing. As folders are added, they will appear on a tree. Add your bookmark to the folder you want.

thanks jseidel. I have tried the way you said to set a homepage I clicked on the symbol with three horizontal bars. From the drop down menu. I clicked 'settings' then checked the box marked 'Open a specific page or set of pages' then I clicked on the 'set pages; link it comes up with a 'startup pages' box. I put my homepage in the url box and pressed ok. but when I go back to google chrome it doesn't open with the homepage I set

Go to your homepage. Click on Settings. Then go to "Open a specific page or set of pages. Set pages", click on the set pages link. Click on the "Use current" button (settings will have opened in a new tab.). Seems like I remember having to do it this way, that is by having the actual page open and then using current.

thanks, that's got it saved. with the 'favourites' (bookmarks) once I clicked on the star and added, how do I see all at once to pick one? eg on internet explorer you click on 'favourites' and the whole list come up.

Click on the same icon with 3 horizontal lines as above and mouse over to Bookmarks.
