In this forum, we make sure, your computer is free of malware and your computer is clean
Because the access to malware forum is very limited, your best option is to create new topic about your current issue, at Windows section.
    You'll get more attention.

    Good luck!

    Broni,
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! for all of your help. I plan on following all of your directions for keeping my computer safe from these awful infections. I don't know how you do it, but thank goodness for people like you (awesome!) who want to help people like me...
Thanks again and have a great day!
    Janette Stiles

I was wondering....is there any way to know when I picked up this nasty infection? My problems started on Tuesday, July 10th. I had done a back-up to my Seagate and some CD's Saturday, July 7th. The discs have some really important stuff on them, but I certainly don't want to take a chance of reinfecting my PC. If I knew exactly when it happened my backups still might be okay??? I'll do whatever you advise me...thank you!

    No.

Install Panda USB Vaccine, or BitDefender’s USB Immunizer on your computer to protect it from any infected USB device.
Now you can safely connect your external drive and scan it with your AV program.
    Scan all CDs as well.
